Muesli

This is one of our favorite breakfasts. My kids often pack it up for a snack. One daughter takes extra for her friend who also likes when I make muesli. It's a winner!

Muesli

  • 2 C. organic rolled oats, uncooked

  • 1 C. raw milk

  • 2 C. raw yogurt, or thick kefir

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup, or to taste

  • 1 banana, diced

  • 1 small apple, diced

  • 2 cups berries, frozen or fresh, or fruit of choice

  1. Stir together oats and milk

  2. Mix well and press down the oats

  3. Cover with an airtight lid and soak in fridge 12-24 hours

  4. In the morning, add yogurt, sweetener and fruit.

  5. Miix well

  6. Enjoy!

TIPS

  • You can do any amount just as long as you soak the oats in 1/2 the amount of raw milk. In the morning, add yogurt to the consistency you like, sweetener and fruit.

  • I like to use thick cut, organic rolled oats.

  • I like my muesli creamy, so I usually go with more yogurt rather than less.

  • Our favorite combination is mixed berry, diced banana, diced apple, but we also enjoy peaches, mangoes and other fruit.

  • This is a dish that is perfect for using up the odds and ends of fruit that you have at the end of the week.
