Cup of Kindness: No Caffeine Pumpkin Latte

Today I grabbed a little cup without taking much notice of it and quickly snapped a picture.  After, I noticed it says Cup of Kindness on it.  Isn't that appropriate?  This drink has no coffee, or caffeine; so in place of a Cup of Joe (aka coffee), it's a Cup of Kindness and couldn't we use a little more of that in the world?!  I hope this drink will warm your soul this fall.  Big hugs from me to you.  

 

Cup of Kindness:  No Caffeine Pumpkin Latte

  • 2 cups raw, milk

  • 1/3 cup organic, pumpkin puree

  • 2 Tbsp. organic, pure maple syrup

  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon

  • 2 tsp. vanilla

 

1.  In a small pan, mix pumpkin puree and cinnamon.

 

2.  Whisk in milk, maple syrup, and vanilla.

 

3.  Gently heat over low heat to 115.

 

4.  Top with maple whipped cream, if desired.

 

 

NOTES

 

Keep your raw milk to around 115 degrees to maintain it's nutrients and protect it's healthy fat composition.  

 

You could add more pumpkin puree, but I don't find it adds more pumpkin flavor and the texture becomes less pleasant.  

 

If you have any left-over, go ahead and store it in the fridge.  It's good cold too.
