Probiotic Green Smoothie

This is one of our favorite ways to use kefir, or raw yogurt. It's a kid friendly way to ensure your kids consume probiotic food and greens.

Probiotic Green Smoothie

  • 2 cups Kefir, or raw yogurt

  • Blender full of dark, leafy greens

  • 2 cups frozen fruit of choice

  • 1/3 cup Maple Syrup or Honey

1. Place yogurt and spinach in a blender and blend until smooth.

2. Add frozen fruit, sweetener and blend until smooth.

NOTES

You can use less sweetener, if you like, but this is the amount that my kids tend to prefer, so it's the amount that I usually use. Using sweeter fruit like banana, or pineapple will allow you to use less sweetener.

The type of fruit you use will affect the color of the smoothie.

Freeze the smoothie for a refreshing and healthy treat. I often put frozen smoothies in small mason jars in my kid's insulated lunch bags. They are perfectly thawed out by lunch time.
