This is a wonderful, relaxing tonic to drink before bedtime. RealTaste Care Seasoning is a delicious way to incorporate healing spices into one's diet. 1. In a small pan, whisk together milk, seasoning and sweetener
2. Gently heat to 100-110 degrees. See tips below.
Why raw milk? Raw dairy milk is easy to digest and contains nutritional benefits that pasteurized, nut, soy, rice milks don't even come close to matching. The protein in raw milk has not been denatured, making it a very beneficial protein to consume before bedtime. Why heat to 100-110 degrees? Something about warm milk is incredibly relaxing and soothing. Scientists haven't been able to nail exactly why, but there is plenty of anecdotal evidence. I certainly can vouch for it! However, we do not want to destroy and denature the nutrients, protein and fat in healthy raw milk. If you keep your temperature below 110 degrees, it's still considered raw. You can invest in a digital thermometer, but an inexpensive one like this is very adequate.
