Cinnamon Tea

Cinnamon is a common spice, but many people don't realize that it is also one of the most beneficial spices. Besides being delicious, cinnamon has protective antioxidant compounds. It also has anti-inflammatory and anti-fungal properties, making it especially helpful in fighting candida overgrowth. It can have also have a positive effect on blood sugar, dental health, digestion, and immune response. A consistent dose of cinnamon can cut your risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer, allergies, neurological disorders and other disease. If you have stomach issues, cinnamon can have a soothing and healing effect. So drink to your health!

Cinnamon Tea

  • 1/4 tsp. RealTaste Peace seasoning, or cinnamon

  • 1 tsp. pure, organic maple syrup, or honey, or more to taste

  • 1 cup boiling water

1. Mix cinnamon and maple syrup together.

2. Pour boiling water over cinnamon and maple syrup.

3. Let steep for 10 minutes.

4. Enjoy when it's cool enough to drink.

NOTES

Cinnamon does not mix well with water; for this reason, I recommend mixing with maple syrup, or honey first.

There will be some cinnamon sludge at bottom of your cup. You do not need to drink that as the essence of the cinnamon has been diffused into the tea.

Some people tend to take things to an extreme, thinking that if something is good, more is better. While cinnamon is beneficial, too much of any good thing can become bad, so please consume in moderation. I recommend no more than 1/4-1/2 tsp. per day.

If desired, add a squirt of lemon for enhanced flavor.
